To start off, I hope everyone else had a great weekend too.

Some family members recently purchased a large property with a house that had burned down. The relative that bought it is a sub-contractor and is more than capable of rebuilding the house from scratch. They demolished everything but a few walls, one part of the roof, and the base.

They invited us on Saturday to have a barbeque there in the large backyard. I wish all my fallout 3 fan friends would have seen the place; they would have fallen in love. There was a huge pitfire, a swing in a tree, pieces of scrap wood in a huge pile, not to mention the burnt-down home, plus all the leafless November trees created the illusion of a post-apocalyptic setting. The kids played, even my son tried to play soccer with them (he's only 18 months old). My husband gave hay-rides with the mini tractor, and we ate barbeque and smoked hookah all day and night. Even though it was freezing, standing by the huge fire was great. There was no shelter for us (except our cars) and no bathrooms. Yes, I did pee in the bushes We went the next day as well. That morning, my husband went out to hunt but the buck didn't show, so he brought back a rabbit, which I accidentally over-cooked in the oven.

I would like to write more about this but I should be going. Still got lots of chores to take care of!
